Memberships gain you access to our services and facilities offered at Phoenix Range. Your ONLINE USER MEMBERSHIP is the first level club membership. This enables you access to attend TRY SHOOTING sessions and participate in the Police Turning Target Shooting competition on our indoor shooting range. Each of our memberships above this level are FULL MEMBERSHIPS of our resident Home Office Approved Club; Empire Shooting Sports Club*. All of our Full Memberships packages allow you to take part our shooting activities dependent upon category you purchased. Each grants you the ability to hire firearms, air weapons and ammunition for use onsite. For the the dedicated shooting members, and after successfully completing your probationary period, you could go on to apply for your very own firearm certificate (FAC) from the Police*. This will enable you to purchase your very own firearms and store them at home in your own secure gun safe. This will give you the freedom attend our facilities with your own firearms at your leisure. *Terms Apply
In addition, we are also registered firearms dealers for all your shooting requirements with an onsite gun shop and an exclusive member’s bar for you to relax and socialise. The centre offers instruction for all ages in target shooting with most types of firearms, including: -
Our secure armouries hold over 100 hire firearms, including pistols, shotguns, and rifles in all calibres from .22 rimfire to the mighty .44 Magnum. We have a full range of high-velocity rifles such as the .303, 7.62mm, 5.56mm, and many more, all available for members hire at £10 per firearm, and £25 for premium firearms. Full tuition and supervision are provided by experienced Range Officers prior to and during any shooting, whether you are a beginner or an accomplished marksman.
Every new ‘Probationary Full Member’ of our Home Office Approved Club must serve a supervised probationary period of three months (excludes current FAC holders *terms apply) using club firearms before being accepted as a full member. Once completed you can either carry on using the club firearms or apply for a Firearms Certificate from the Police enabling you to purchase and keep your own firearms at home. We also offer training courses so you can reload your own ammunition with massive savings to be had whilst learning an interesting pastime in ballistics. All the equipment for this is available at the onsite gun shop. Having your own licence and firearms gives you the freedom to shoot on our range all year round and at a time of your choosing with your own guns by making use of the online ‘firing lane booking system’ from just £7.95 per hour per lane.
Membership can be upgraded at any time to family memberships so you can share your exhilarating experience with others.
IMPORTANT: To take out any of our memberships, you must first visit our online home page and register with us by creating your own ONLINE MEMBERSHIP USER account. You are then invited to upgrade and join the rest of our memberships after completing a TRY SHOOTING SESSION. Upon creating an online membership user account you will make the legally required online declaration that you are not prohibited from handling Firearms or Air weapons. Once you have a online membership user account you can then simply log on and update your own personal details, address, upload your personal ID, and photo. All you then need to do is call us and book a try shooting session for us to get to know you. You will then be invited to join to upgrade your membership where you can complete and submit the online FULL MEMBERSHIP application forms and police background check directly from your user account. After that, as you are now known to us just, give us a call and we will make an appointment for you to attend to join for a FULL membership, finalise your application and check your ID in person. Once this has been completed thoroughly, and only then will we take your membership payment, and issue you your membership cards, and get you shooting and training as a new Probationary Member!

You must have already completed a Try Shooting Session’ prior to joining as a Full Member / Probationary Member or be otherwise ‘known to us’ as a former customer or associate. FAC holders having already served a probationary period at another Home Office Approved Club may have their probationary period wavered on application.
You are declaring that you are not a prohibited person from handling firearms under Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968.
You are declaring that you are a person of good character and do not associate with known criminals.
You must create your personal ‘ONLINE MEMBERSHIP USER ACCOUNT’ on our website prior to attending and provide the relevant information requested.
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The minimum age to join and shoot is 8 years old. All attendees must be physically capable of holding a firearm safely.
You are agreeing that as an affiliated club we can share your details for insurance purposes only with our national governing body the NRA/NSRA under the provisions of the GDPR data protection regulations.
You agree that you will CALL US to book an appointment to join or attend a try shoot (no unauthorised visits to this secure facility)
Upon attending, please bring some identification along, for example, a driving licence or proof of address (Except minors under 18).

Our Air Gun membership is perfect for youngsters and new shooters alike. Saturday and Sunday mornings (9am to 11am) are set aside exclusively for air gun members to use the whole Phoenix Range facilities. This exclusive slot allows our members with air arms to shoot without interruption from our louder live-firing guns with exclusive use of the whole center, gun shop, bar and games room.
